Byson cable 25 year long lifetime instruction
Cable lifetime prediction relies heavily on the accelerated thermal aging exposures. The most important mythology for extrapolating cable performance under certain temperatures is based on Arrhenius relationship. Electron-beam cross-linking
Byson cable use electron-beam cross-linking to increase the performance of solar cable. Since the solar cable has a particular requirement in its’ elongation, tensile strength and aging performance, cross-linking is very important. Cross-link has two methods: physical and chemical. Introduction of Byson's Laboratory
The laboratory was established in September 2012 and invested a million dollar to have a complete test equipment. It has five affiliated laboratory: environmental laboratory, flame laboratory, physical and chemical laboratory, electrical laboratory and other related equipment. Flame retardant
Wire and cable in the long-term use of short circuit or a fire may occur, which can make the cable combustion, fuel fire or damage to equipment. So in many occasions, it need cable with the characteristics which it will not spread flame or self-extinguishing on a certain length of cable or a period of time. This is called incombustibility of the cable, also known as flame retardant. On some occasions, if the cables don’t have this flame retardant characteristic, fire will produce very serious consequences or secondary disasters. Smoke density
The determination of smoke density is another important aspect to evaluate cable combustion characteristic because it concerns the personnel evacuation and if can put out the fire in a short range. According to the fire department statistics, about 80% of the deaths are caused by the harmful poisoning gas in the fire, the diffuse smoke choking or make the path invisible so that can't escape and then by burned. So the concept of smoke density is examining the cable from burning under certain conditions when measured the minimum light transmittance. The standard of smoke density test is IEC61034. This material with characteristics of oil resistance, low temperature resistance, flame retardance, low toxicity can meet the requirements of EN50264 EM104, EI109 & EN50306-1 S2. It is suitable for use in railway industry.
